Caroline James
Servcie Coordinator
I started working for The Filo Project in May 2021. My role is to coordinate the day to day running of this busy, community service, being the first point of contact/front of house for enquiries, overseeing organisational procedures, liaising with all staff, clients’ families, advocates and professionals, supporting the safeguarding lead and producing a quarterly staff newsletter. I love the variety of this role and the rewarding aspect when talking with clients' families and with our amazing hosts.
My first experience of working in the social care sector was as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities. After having a family, I embarked on an 18 year career in education starting as a teaching assistant and completing my career in the role of a primary school headteacher.
In my spare time I volunteer with the NSPCC presenting workshops to children in schools. I like to keep active and enjoy countryside walks with my 2 dogs, cycling, swimming and stand up paddleboarding.
